“Big Cello, Little Cello” by Ari L. Goldman in the June 8, 2008 New York Times – This article explores the writer’s experience as a parent of a young cellist in the ISO Morningside Orchestra who joined the ensemble as a cellist himself.

“The Next Generation” by Stephanie Stein Crease in the March-April 2008 issue of Symphony magazine – This article explores the ways in which U.S. orchestras are “reexamining the ways in which young people can once again have meaningful, ongoing experiences playing classical music.” ISO former Executive Director, Nora Gibson, spoke of the ways ISO programs work to provide access to students of all backgrounds in the section on New York.
