ISO 40th Anniversary Gala Concert and Reception
The InterSchool Orchestras of New York will celebrate its service to two generations of New York’s young musicians by presenting a gala benefit concert at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 7:00 p.m.
The concert will feature all seven of the ISO ensembles including the ISO Symphony, the elite all-scholarship orchestra under the baton of Artistic Director Jeffrey Grogan; the ISO Symphonic Band, an advanced-level wind symphony, conducted by Brian Worsdale; the Concert Orchestra led by Eric Dudley; and the Carnegie Hill Orchestra conducted by Steven Rochen. ISO’s three beginner orchestras; the Morningside Orchestra, ISO at Turtle Bay and ISO Trinity Florentine will perform together under the direction of Robert Johnston and Amelia Hollander Ames. They will be joined by the Trinity Youth Chorus.
A highlight of the concert will be the world premiere of a new work for flute and orchestra by Lowell Liebermann with the Metropolitan Opera’s principal flute Stefán Ragnar Höskuldsson as soloist accompanied by the ISO Symphony.

Broken Reed Saxophone Quartet Concert on October 14th at 8pm
Come hear the Broken Reed Saxophone Quartet (Charley Gerard, Tom Olin, Jenny Hill, Lisa Parrott) in a program of jazz-influenced baroque music from Bach, Gerard and Vivaldi with guest violist Eva Gerard (ISO alum and board member) and a string quartet from the ISO Symphony.
Featuring “New Fourcast for Spring” by Charley Gerard, a new take on Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” with jazz influences for sax quartet, solo viola and strings.

After September 14th, auditions can be scheduled through the end of October by appointment. Please submit the online registration form and the registration fee. After completing both items, please call our office at 212-410-0370 to schedule.
ISO to Perform at Symphony Space
ISO will perform its spring concert at Symphony Space on May 16 and 17, 2011. Both concerts will begin at 7:00pm but will showcase different ensembles each night. Monday, May 16 will feature ISO Symphony, Concert Orchestra and Symphonic Band. Tuesday, May 17 will feature Morningside, Turtle Bay, Trinity-Florentine and Carnegie Hill Orchestra. Tickets are $15 and $8 for children, and can be purchased through the Symphony Space website or box office.

ISO to Perform at Alice Tully Hall
ISO will perform in Alice Tully Hall at 7:00pm on Monday, May 23, 2011. The program will honor Ronald Schaefer, founder of the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts.
