During the coming weeks, ISO Executive Director Waddy Thompson will meet with parents of each ensemble during the ensembles rehearsals. He’ll talk about plans for the year and how parents can participate with their children’s group.
At each meeting, a Parent Representative will be chosen. This person will coordinate extra-musical activities for the ensemble (including weekly snack time in some cases), contact other parents for volunteer jobs, and take part in a new Parent’s Council. The Council will help ISO staff better understand issues families encounter with participation with ISO and plan joint activities for all ensembles.
