ISO Symphony

The ISO Symphony, ISO's flagship ensemble, is one of New York’s finest youth orchestras  whose members are among the most talented young musicians in the metroplitan area. Students join for a pre-professional orchestral experience and receive coaching by members of the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony. The ISO Symphony appears annually in major New York City concert halls including Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Symphony Space.  The orchestra also presents community concerts in neighborhood centers, churches, schools and museums.  Membership is by audition only. This is a 100% scholarship ensemble.
The ISO Symphony Concerto Competition is held each winter and is open to Symphony members who have spent at least one year with the ISO Symphony. The competition winner(s) performs as soloist with the Symphony at the annual spring concert.
