Auditions
Auditions for the 2008-2009 season for new musicians interested in joining any orchestra, the Symphonic Band,
or the Chamber Music Program, will be held during the spring on June 3-5, 2008. To schedule an audition, download the registration form, fill it out and mail it , along with the registration fee to ISO, 1556 Third Avenue, Suite 601, New York, NY 10128. You will be called to schedule an audition. If you have any questions, please call (212) 410-0370. Candidates at all levels are requred to play a scale and a classical piece of their own choosing that represents their most accomplished repertoire, and to sight read.
An audition will be heard only if all registration and commitment forms and the non-refundable enrollment fee have been received. Please read below under 'Tuition and Fees'.)

Enrollment and music fee, Parent Association dues -- mandatory for all participants in any ISO program (excluding Symphony and Band) | $125 |

*New and returning students who are either admitted or promoted into the Symphony or Band will be billed an additional $75 over the $125 initial registration fee to complete the $200 registrion fee required for tuition-free ensembles.

Students attending supporting schools (see below -- if your school is not on this list, please encourage it to become a member), and second and third musicians from the same family, receive a $125 discount.
Scholarships at various levels for participating in ISO ensembles are available; proof of financial status is required.

The ISO Symphony and ISO Symphonic Band are all-scholarship ensembles supported through the annual spring benefit concert
and the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations. The enrollment fee, but no tuition fee, is required.
No student is turned away from an ISO ensemble because of inability to afford tuition. |
